The country's power facilities have faced escalating strikes in the past few days

During the night, Russian aerial assaults have caused power cuts in extensive areas of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

A number of civilians were wounded while local people in eastern districts were left without electricity and faced problems to water systems, per reports from local authorities.

Meanwhile, a seven-year-old child was killed in a distinct assault in the southeastern region in the country's south-east, according to area administrators.

Russian forces has intensified strikes on electrical systems over recent weeks, while Ukrainian leadership has called for "concrete actions" from international partners to increase pressure on Russia.

He said that numerous aerial vehicles and over thirty projectiles attacked Ukraine's energy infrastructure, describing such assaults as "premeditated" and against "critical infrastructure" as winter approaches.

Energy officials said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and repair crews were striving to repair systems.

Government officials told reporters that Moscow was deliberately attempting to demolish the electrical infrastructure, with attacks already impacting energy systems.

Authorities confirmed energy workers and officials were anticipating further attacks.
