Automobiles in Germany's Town Discovered Marked with Nazi Symbols in Blood, Law Enforcement Confirm

Officers stated they were notified by a resident who found a automobile in Hanau smeared with reddish substance

Around 50 automobiles have been marked with what appears to be blood from a person in the German city of Hanau near Frankfurt, as reported by law enforcement.

Cars, building surfaces and mailboxes were vandalized, in some cases with swastikas, they reported in a statement.

Law enforcement say they were notified late on Wednesday evening, when a resident observed that a car in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been covered with a reddish substance.

The substance had been drawn in the form of a Nazi symbol, they stated.

Officers then located multiple other smeared automobiles and residential walls in the nearby vicinity.

Nazi symbols are illegal in Germany under regulations outlawing the public display of Nazi symbols.

Officials report early analysis indicate the liquid was likely human bodily fluid.

"Currently there is no indication as to its source; officials are presently not aware of any injuries in connection with the incident," they added.

Municipal representatives stated they were trying "to unravel the case" and have requested to the public for details.

A senior political figure stated the attack made him speechless and required to be solved rapidly.

"This act strikes at the core of Hanau and revives the pain of the far-right terrorist attack in 2020," he wrote on a platform, referring to the murder of nine victims by a assailant aiming at residents of migrant background in February 2020.
